East Quoddy Lighthouse

This is the East Quoddy Lighthouse, also known as Harbour Head Light, at the northern tip of Campobello Island. One website I looked at said it's the most photographed lighthouse in the world, but I'm pretty sure I've seen that claim about other lighthouses too. I wish I'd had better skies to photograph it against.
That's my husband and daughter in the foreground in this photo:

A little closer view:

Oh I like that lighthouse! Must be the red and white. Great shots!

Cool shots! I especially like the 2nd one. What is it about lighthouses that always seem to forlorn and evocative, even when they're brightly colored?

I've never seen a lighthouse with a cross design painted on it. I think I read somewhere that all lighthouses have unique, individual designs/colors. This is cool--love the coordinating roofs!!

I like the way you took the different zooms.
