Grilled Cheese

Because my life is boring and quiet today (and that's okay by me!) my photo of the day is of my lunch.

Grilled cheese my favorite way: use two big slices of Texas Toast, spread a thin layer of mayo combined with dijon mustard on the inside of the bread, add cheese, spread butter on the outside, and toast it up. Yum.

Do you like my new plate (not that you can really see it)? In the last couple of weeks we got new dishes AND we moved the TV from one room to the other, so with the new 'changes' of eating off of different dishes and sitting on different furniture, my DH is completely out of sorts, and it's cracking me up. I'll just find him sitting on the old couch peering out the window (since there's no TV to look at in that room now) and looking wistful. Now I've started painting sample swatches on the walls and told DH we're painting the kitchen/dining room red (Sherwin Williams Fireweed). I think his head is going to explode.

Oh that photo is wonderful and man does that look good! Congrats on the new plates...we just got new ones this summer... I LOVE them. We were still using ones from when we were first married...you will have to show us your room when it is painted!

I'm envious of your quiet, boring day! Lunch looks yummy :) A while back you asked how homeschool was going! I'd say it's slowly getting less stressful, and perhaps a tad enjoyable. The girls like it. I do not. But, we're persevering :) Thanks for asking!

I would love a quiet, boring day, lol. Great shot of the grilled cheese. Everyone gave me a hard time when I painted our living room red but once it was all finished we got so many compliments. You'll love it.

Your sandwich sounds and looks yummy. That is so hilarious about your husband being thrown off by those changes you've made. Go easy on him. Don't want his head to explode :)

This is really funny! I guess I'd be having a hard time with all those changes too. . . my condolensces to your hubby. Over Christmas, we broke it to our 3 children that we were reconsidering. . . and going back to skim milk after I'd switched to whole milk, having read that palmitrate was carcinogenic. But we're all nicely settled back into skim now, but it was tough going with that kind of roller coaster for awhile.
