Shaker Village. I drove by again yesterday on the way home from a ball game and stopped to take a few photos. This is a photo of their graveyard. It's a fenced area without individual grave markers, just this one marker in the middle. It's a great example of the Shaker way of life. I'm not thrilled with this photo. I was rapidly losing the light. I think it's a really cool subject nonetheless.
I'm also a big fan of their furniture. :-)

I remember them coming to school once way back when and wanted to find more people to be apart of there way of life. It will be sad to see it go when the last few do pass on and there way of life is not picked up by someone else. I use to go by there lots too when I lived in Oxford hills.
Yeah, it is sort of eerie feeling. I think your conversion really works and draws my into the gravestone.

I think that is really awesome. The trees and the darkness give it kind of a spooky effect. Its neat to know that they don't have any markers too. That is really interesting.
