Lilac festival

I spent some time on Sunday at these beautiful local gardens where they were having their lilac festival. It smelled so pretty! There were all these pretty paths and lots of stuff in bloom already. Dealing with the midday sun and shadows was not so fun, but there was plenty of shade to be had too.

Very beautiful. I love lilacs but my husband is allergic. Poor me. I would have the bushes everywhere if I could!

I LOVE lilacs so much. It seems like they are extra fragrant this year. I always pick some for the house but they never last. I think the kids drink the water or something.

A whole festival devoted to lilacs? OK, that would be a treat to view!! Beautiful purple here.
