I love my mom

I'm still working on getting a photo of my mom up for the theme this week. I just had this conversation with her:
Me: "Can I have your permission to put a photo of you on my blog?"
Mom: "Why?"
Me: "Cuz."
Mom: "Well, what picture?"
Me: "I dunno; maybe the one I gave Jim for Christmas?"
Mom: "Well, everyone has already seen that."
(I accidentally on purpose didn't tell her I meant my POTD blog, not the family blog.)
Me: "Well, I like it."
Mom: "All right. But photoshop out EVERY wrinkle and make my teeth as white as Tom Cruise's. He is so weird. Did you see him on Oprah? We've been making fun of him all week."
Me: "No, I can't watch Oprah anymore; she gets on my nerves."

So until I complete my evil plan of exposing mom to the seedy underworld known as the Internet, I'm going with some more baseball shots. It's been nothing but baseball, baseball, baseball, and softball, softball, softball around here. Wahoo!

Just went back over the photos of the "controversial" play and noticed how much dust DS is eating:

On this one I ran a sepia action and then used Leah's texture she shared on PIF. Leah is awesome!

Where to start? First of all... girl that new avatar is HOT!!!!
Second, I saw the Pico de Arte and I am SO sorry I haven't had a chance to respond.
Third your baseball photos are freaking awesome!!! You wanna come take some of Gavin, because I seriously suck at bball photos. :)
LOVE the shot of all the players feet, perfect processing. It would make a great print for a boys room.

first of all your baseball photos are awesome! I had to go back and look at the "play". Even my DH said the ump got it wrong before you showed us the close up! So I have to know what settings you used. You have been so nice on my blog and I really appreciate it! THanks for keeping up with me.

Oh, that second shot is SO COOL! Love it and love the pp'ing you did!

I'd have to agree that Tom Cruise is a weirdo and Oprah is incredibly annoying!!! I was LOL at your conversation with your mom. :)

BTW, would you mind posting on the POTD thread that I have posted on my blog? (Finally. It's been forever!) Because of a stupid computer issue, I haven't been able to log on to twopeas for days. It's making me crazy, I tell ya!

Yes, Leah is awesome and her textures are just the best out there in my opinion. What a fun crop to go with that fun texture and conversion. I always like reading your journaling, you've got a real knack with words.

Oh I love that last one, Becky! That is just so awesome. It looks so vintage.

And...you crack me UP! Oh my...your mom sounds like more of a hoot than you are. I have to agree with her. Tom Cruise is such a weird guy. And Oprah also gets on my nerves. I know she has done SO SO much for so many, but you know, when you have a bazillion dollars you should. I just know she used that whole thing with the cars that she gave away as some big tax write off.

These are wonderful baseball shots (and I don't even like baseball!!!!) I love how the dust is all stirred up in the first; it really helps communicate the intensity and the mood. The 2nd is so interesting because of the cropping and the texture. Now, your mom. .. . does she have any kind of competitive streak? Tell her you need her photo for some kind of contest. (Maybe you can work Tom Cruise into somehow) This way she can make it up to you for all those papers of yours she threw out.
