Fake spring

Editing my post to try posting bigger photos. Thoughts? I think it's too big, that you have to scroll around to see the whole photo maybe? I chose the "website (640 X 480)" option on Photobucket, but I don't have a clue how to resize it optimally in Photoshop and tell Photobucket what size I want other than their defaults. I've always just posted my photos directly to Blogger from my computer so I'm pretty lost here. Any and all help appreciated.

Not from today, but I finally got around to editing some more hyacinth photos. There's no spring around here to be seen.

We don't have spring, either - I'm so jealous of pictures of flowers coming up in people's yards! Love this macro shot - beautiful color!

BEcky, this is luscious! You have done an awesome job with the color, and capturing the curves of the petals, and that thick waxy texture. LOVE this!

That's some intense blue! Cool macro shot! Are you able to get that close to the flower, or do you crop in to get that? It looks other-worldly!

Judging by this picture you need some spring coming your way. This photo is gorgeous. Great color --- makes me wish I had a green thumb.

As to your question on size -- the bigger one is not too big at all for me, but I have a 24 inch monitor so maybe it would be too big for others? I know I always stick to about 500 wide on a portrait and 700 wide on a landscape when I post to my blog. I could go a lot bigger for my monitor but I try to keep smaller monitors in mind as well.

Hey there, great shot...

What I do for mine is I size the photos to 550px wide in PS (image>image size) and set resoultion to 72. I then upload that to photobucket and copy the direct link. then I go to blogger and hit insert image and paste the direct link in the URL and on the post window I hit the "edit html" tab and change the size from 400px wide to 550px. On the vertical shots I leave them at 400px wide. Does that make sense? There might be easier ways to do it but that is what works for me.
