Bowl of apples

Today's photo should more appropriately be a bowl of nuts. I saw lots of interaction today, but didn't photograph any. Today was town meeting day here. For all of you who don't live in tiny little towns with town meeting, boy are you missing out. :-). It's a very boring, tedious day interspersed with high drama and ugly confrontations--sometimes even between family members! It's a private citizen's perfect opportunity to rage against the machine, and it's a hoot. But it is tiring (although this year's was very short at only 4 hours instead of the usual 8 or 9) so oops, I forgot to change my ISO from last night's track meet. Most of the photos I took today are going to need some tweaking. I ran Noiseware on this one. Then I used Amy's daughter Allyson's tutorial for a simple frame. (Sometimes the simplest things in PS stump me the most.) Is it easier to see the edges of the photo this way? Thanks again, Allyson and Amy.

I really like how the sidelight is hitting the apples. Nice job on the frame as well.

The shot is nice and clean! you got really good focus on all the apples. I see you are reading the escape? Is it a good book?

Becky, I'll have to let Allyson know you used her frame tutorial, she'll be so happy it helped someone! Funny thing is that when I opened your blog, I could only see the first photo and thought a frame around it would be so nice and then when I went down a bit, I saw it! :) I love this apple shot, first I LOVE pottery, second the apples are so crisp, great focus!

I read Escape in December, loved that book, but was amazed that people live in that type of situation. I can't even imagine...

And yes, I used my fisheye today on the Tahoe shots. My dh needed me to photograph a house for him this morning, so I grabbed my fisheye as I was running out the door. So happy I did!

Ooohhh...I totally feel you about those tone meetings. Those things can be boring nightmares in which you have to wear a suit of armor to protect from the spewing objects being flown at you from a member of the opposing 'side'. So fun. I DO love your apples! They are so red and shiny.
