Ribbon Candy

I got out the leftover box of ribbon candy and the macro lens and went to town. I couldn't decide on one to post, so here's a bunch. Did I pop the colors too much? I also used custom white balance. How'd I do? Shot in AV mode with 100mm macro lens , various SS and apertures.

I think you did great on the colors. Stuff like this can be very vibrant and saturated if you ask me....there are no skin tones to screw up;) these look so good, and they look rather large, is that the case?

Becky I cannot even tell you how much I LOVE these photos! The colors are frickin' awesome I don't think you over saturated them at all. You should print these up as Christmas cards next year.
One more time I LOOOOOVVVEEEEE them!

These are great and I love the color. It's fun to really pop the color on things like this, where if you did it on people shots, or landscapes, things start to look a little wacky. :-)

I think there are some nice colors in theses shots. My favorite two are the last two, I like the closeness and simplicity of the second to last one and I like the negative space and the dof in the last one. With the second and third shots I wish there was something more to add interest. They are pretty much straight on and don't have much dynamics to them. Especially the one with the two rows, this shot is really balanced with the divider right down the middle of the frame, try taking them on an angle, or some other different view on them to add interest.
