Glass vase

DH got me this vase for Christmas. A guy in my hometown has a glassblowing studio and we like to go there and watch him make stuff like this. I took this photo a few days after Christmas but played with it in Photoshop more today. I've brightened and color popped it, cloned out the windowpane from the window it's hanging in, whitened the background, and added the frame so it would show against this white background on the blog. I kind of like the overall effect of the PS'd picture but like some things about the original better: the color of the vase is more true in the original, and I kind of like the blue tint of the background. What do you think? As always, CC appreciated.

What a COOL vase!! I think both images have their merrit...the oolors in the first one are interesting because of the contrast, but I like the brightness of the second. Photography is so subjective...an image is "correct" if YOU like it!!!

That is really cool! I love the bright color of the vase in the second one, but I like the pale blue background of the first.

that really is a cool vase. the sooc looks good except for the pane (?)--maybe if you just cloned that out...your pp'd version is very vibrant and colorful so both are good...

neat vase! I think you need to decide which one appeals to you most. But I really like the brightness of the second one.

Wow, that is a gorgeous vase! I love the brightness of the second one but I kinda like the blue of the first one too... Hmmm... maybe take your fave part of each image and make your own? =)

Both are beautiful! The reason I like the first better is because the vase itself seems to be reflecting the color of the blue background, but in the 2nd, the background is gone. It's still beautiful, but like the first better.
