A trip down memory lane

My photos aren't from today, but I can't let this week's theme of love go without ending it with my kids. I love them so much I can't even begin to describe it. They are the most beautiful, precious things in my life. Many of you still have small children, and you've heard the "time goes so fast" thing before, but I'm here to tell you that it's true. They go from this:to this:
in two seconds flat. And the only thing that stops you from curling up in a ball and longing for the days when they were little is the amazement in seeing what awesome people they're turning out to be and the excitement of every new phase of life they go through.

And here's a few more oldies of my silly kids that I have scanned into the computer.

I think this one is around DS's 6th birthday:
I see here that this was 2-27-98, so DD had just turned two and DS was 4-1/2 ( that's a Santa headband DD put around her chest):
DD's first Halloween, 1996:
Maybe 1999 or so:
DS as the Hulk:

Such a sweet post! Your kiddos are gorgeous! I think your DD and my middle child are the same age, is it too late for arranged marriage plans? LOL
I got a day of NOTHING to do on a weekend, which is like a miracle or something so of course I couldn't stay away.
I love looking at your stuff, your style is so different from what I do but so interesting and inspiring. You do color sooooo well!
Ok now that I have written a fricking novel, I will say Thank right back at cha neighbor. ;)

they do grow up fast, you don't think about it at the time. But then one day you realize that your baby is already 6 and your oldest are almost double digits!

What a lovely walk down memory lane. I'm smiling at the fun moments you have captured along the way. It must be a great feeling to see how they have developed as people, and be able to relate to them more and more as the person they are, as opposed to helping to shape the person they are becoming. Thanks for sharing this!

Oh my word! You are are so right about them growing up so fast...and mine are small and I still feel that way.

I love all of these photos. Thank you so much for sharing these with us. As a mom you still can make your kids do things for you no matter what age they are. As mothers we are masters of manipulation and bribery. At least my mom is. Hahaha.
