Milkweed
Milkweed plants have flowers this time of year, before they grow the pods with the fuzzy seeds.
I am absolutely in love with the depth of color in the first shot. I never knew - or rather I've never taken the time to look closely enough, either through my own macro lens or with my eyes, at how beautiful the petals are and what a creamy lavender color they are.

So pretty! The ones down here look so bad since the caterpillars love to devour them.
