A Maine real estate sign

This is why I love Maine.

And it makes me wonder: when did 'wicked' become a word the rest of the country uses? It used to be a New England (and particularly Maine) thing, but now I see/hear people all over use it occasionally. It makes me laugh because one of my brothers refuses to say it because he thinks it's so hick. I embrace my hickdom and use it as much as possible, especially around him. That and a hearty "Jeezum Crow!" I never say "Ayuh" or "You can't get theyah from heyah," though, that's just lame. :-P

  8. Oh that is so funny. I'm not sure about wicked catching on. I have a friend, originally from Toronto, and she has used it for as long as I've known her. It always makes me chuckle too.
