Flowers and flash

Someone on 2Peas shared this flower page template a couple of weeks ago. I can't remember who it was (I'm really bad about that!) but a big thank you to her for sharing.
This is my original image:

I did use flash for this next shot. My MIL sent the kids books, and I wanted to send her a thank you, so I took this snapshot:

    What a cool MIL, sending books! Great way to say "thank you," and I love how their eyes are peeking over the tops of the books. Nice template for the flowers.

    Cute book photos--looks like a spy movie. I LOVE that caterpillar shot below, and your dead flower is very striking (morbid, maybe?). It's definitely a strong image.

    Becky, love that shot with your kids! Your MIL should really like it--I would, as a gma! And, REALLY like the way you faded down the flowers to use in the frame. Great shot, and the color is eyepopping; the fade makes them look like another flower altogether!

    Ooooh...your flower is completely lovely with the flash touch. Great idea for a Thank You card - I also like to send them "on theme' if possible. Great fun; great work. ML

    That's a fun thank you shot, I'm sure your MIL will love it! And that flower shot in the template is so pretty, so is the template! :)

    I have no idea what kind of plant mine was for today, it was in a mixed bouquet.
