Shapes

I don't like any of my photos today. The good news is that I practiced with my flash and am kinda sorta starting to get it. Guess I'm still on a Valentine kick because my photo is of one of the treats Nana bought for the kids. But I'm on theme, I guess, because there is a heart shape. And because the shape I'll be if I eat one of these is more round than I want to be.

Settings: 24-70 lens at 66mm Tv mode SS1/200 F2.8 ISO400. I think if I wanted a wider depth of field, I should have upped the ISO so I could get a higher f-stop, is that right?

  3. Great shot on the brownie...that looks so good...and you are on the right track...upping your ISO and changing the Apeture are what you are looking for...I LOVE this shot though with the blurred background!

  8. Speaking of depth, I wish I could comment on increasing the depth of field, but then I'd be out of my depth! I'll be interested in checking back here and see what others say about the increased ISO and aperture. I would have thought that with a flash, ISO of 400 should be plenty high??????

  16. It think that is one yummy looking shape! Hahaha. And your angle is so awesome. The blurriness in the background really makes the heart and the color of the frosting stand out.

  18. Shape looks great! Yes, if you want your apperture (f-stop) to be wider still, you would have to increase your ISO if you wanted to keep the same shutter speed.
    Good idea for the theme.
